This is a NOS (New Open Stock) vintage Heljestrand MK 66 Eskilsuna, Swedish razor.
The custom made scales are made of G10 Jade Ghost w/tapered Bloody Red Jasper recon stone
The blade is extremely shiny, clean with no rust, cracks or chips.
Blade has been cleaned and polished.
The blade measures 5/8 square point.

The company was founded in 1808 by Olof Heljestrand (1781-1837). After his death in 1837, the firm was taken over by his first son Nils Fredrik (1808-1868) and subsequently by his son Carl Viktor (1819-1861). C.V. Heljestrand, is a very famous and prestigeful name in Sweden, but also in the rest of the world due to tradition and quality of their surgical instuments! C.V. Heljestrand use Swedish high quality steel, in combination with traditional drop forging, which is a guaranty for optimal strength and structure of the steel. They are also famous for their production of high quality razors, knives, cork screws, nail pliers, surgical instruments and scissors.

Sweden was represented by the Heljestrand firm’s razors and finer steelware at the World Exhibition in Paris 1855, Stockholm 1866, Bogota 1875, Philadelphia 1876, Chicago 1883, Paris 1900 and 1937.
