FILARMONICA - MEDALLON TAURINO 13 - 6/8 - NEW OPEN STOCK - SPAIN
This is an NOS vintage razor from the 1950's which I was able to get my hands on.
I only have one and they are not available in abundance either.
The original scales are grey colored with green colored Filarmonica logo.
The blade measures 6/8
Grind: 1/2 to 3/4 hollow - Square point
On the front shank it says: Filarmonica - Medallon Taurino 13 - José Monserrat Pou
On the back it says: Fabricacion Española - Made in Spain
Comes with the original featured card box
and plastic wrapping. Has only been removed to take the pictures.
Filarmonica - The company started manufacturing straight razors in 1915 in the city of Mataró, province of Barcelona. They are considered as one of the best manufacturers of cutlery, knifes and razors. About 20 years ago the company shut down all operations and closed their doors.
The Medallon Taurion is a collectors razor. They were made and given to the bullfighters before a bull fight as means of good luck.
The Medallon Taurino holds 6 different etching themes:
Muleta, Rejoneo, Banderillas, Estocada, Capote and Cogida. This one sold is called the 'Rejoneo'
