GENCO 'RED CROSS' - GENEVA CUTLERY CO. - 5/8 - FULL HOLLOW - ORIGINAL
This is sweet and unique looking collectors vintage straight razor.
The razor comes with the original pins, bolsters, scales and paper storage box.
Storage box does show some wear and one of the end sides has peeled off.
Blade is in immaculate condition with no hone wear and doesn't even appear to be ever used.
Scales are straight, pins are tight and blade centers nicely.
Scales are a creamy yellow with silver inlay red cross.
Blade has been cleaned and polished and the razor is very shiny
The blade measures 5/8 - spike point (can be muted at buyer's request)
On the front shank it says: Genco Red Cross - Geneva N.Y. USA
Geneva, New York became around 1912 the largest US manufacturer of razors.
The trademark "GENCO" was used by the company ca. 1902-1935
