GEORGE. WOSTENHOLM & SON'S - I-XL- SHEFFIELD - 7/8 - Wedge - G10 Jade Ghost
This is a very old beautiful looking collectors vintage razor. (1823-1867)
The custom made scales are made of G10 Jade Ghost, bloody basin jasper recon stone tapered wedge and 3 pin peened toe.
The blade is very shiny, clean with no rust, cracks, chips or disturbing stains.
There are remaining residual micro surface pits left.
To be expected for a razor that's between 143 and 187 years old.
Instead of completely removing the tang's markings + alter the original grind and width I had to leave some residual surface blemishes.
Blade has been cleaned and polished.
The blade measures 7/8 - barber's notch - schoulderless
Comes with an adjustable screw at the pivot and 1 hex socket wrench.
Grind: Wedge - nice subtle smiling edge and spine.
Bottom of tang has jimps.
Total weight: 3.4 oz
Total cutting edge: 3.0 inches

Hardware: Brass, Silver nickel pins and washers
Tang's inscription is partially faded but still present.
On the front shank it says: George Wostenholm & Sons I-XL - Rockingham Works - Sheffield
Extremely nice condition and example of at least a 150+ years old George Wotenholm I-XL wedge straight razor.
George Wostenholm & Son's: Rockingham Works Sheffield 1694 - Washington Works after 1867.
This company manufactured "Bowie type knifes amongst other kinds of cutlery and goods in other metals.
This razor dates from between 1823 and 1867 (between 143 and 187 years old)
