This is a truly nice looking J.A. henckels straight razor in excellent condition.
The custom made scales are made of LVS (laminated veneer sheet). This is 100% real Paua shell with a G10 black backing and topcoat acrylic layer. Has been tapered with a G10 Jade Ghose wedge.
The blade is extremely shiny, clean with no rust, cracks, chips or disturbing stains.
Blade has been cleaned and polished.
The blade measures 5/8 - square point.
On the front shank it says: 401 Platinum - Carbon Steel Blade with the famous twin works symbols - Reg. US. Patent Off.
The back says: J.A. Henckels, Twinworks,, Solingen, Germany
The bottom part of the shank has ribbed jimps.
Minor to normal hone wear.
Blade centers nicely and pins are tight.
