JOSEPH RODGERS & SONS - NORFOLK - SHEFFIELD - WEDGE - FRAMEBACK
This is a very old vintage straight razor from Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to their majesties, Norfolk N°6, Sheffierld.
The blade has been cleaned and polished but remaining residual blemishes, stains and pits are still present. This doesn't affect the shave in any way as the edge is very clean.
It's a 6/8, frameback wedge grind with a barber's and thumb notch.
The scales are vulcanite and have been cleaned, buffed and professionally peened back.
On the front shank it says: Joseph Rodgers & Sons - Cutlers to their majesties - N°6 Norfolk - Sheffield.
Blade centers nicely and sits snug between the scales.
A very old vintage example of a Joseph Rodgers & Sons.
