SHUMATE'S 012 - SHUMATE RAZOR CO. ST LOUIS, U.S.A - 5/8 - 1/2 HOLLOW
This is a Shumate's 012 vintage straight razor from the US Shumate Razor Co. which has been fitted and customized with G10 black scales. Tapered with a G10 Hunter Orange wedge.
The blade has been cleaned, satin finished and looks extremely good with maybe a few tiny barely noticeable remaining surface micro pits. You really have to go look for them. Edge takes a very sharp edge.
Blade has been cleaned and satin finished.
Razor has some hone wear.
The blade's width is 5/8 - French point
Grind: Half Hollow (loose grind - feels more like a full hollow)
Shoulder: 1 stabilizer
Total weight: 1.3 oz
Total cutting edge: 2.65 inches
On the front shank it says: Shumate's 012
On the blade it says: Shumate Razor Co. - St Louis U.S.A
Both front and rear markings are still present and readable.
Blade centers nicely between the scales and sits very snug.
