This is a gorgeous and rare straight razor collector's item.
Thiers Issard Historical aka TIPTLE (Thiers Issard - Pierre Thiers - Limited Edition)
Pierre Thiers, the founder of Thiers-Issard hand forged these blanks in 1884 himself.
There are only 450 of those hand forged razors, made with famous Sheffield steel, in the whole world.
This is number 317.
Each blade is individually numbered from 1 to 450 and has the Hallmark of Pierre Thiers.
The spine still shows the original hand hammering.
The bottom part of the tang has jimps.
Blade has a barber's notch and measured just under 6/8.
The gold wash is pretty much faded and is not uncommon when cleaning the blade.
Comes with gorgeous blond/brown horn handles and black leather pouch.
Since each razor has been hand forged and combined with natural horn handles, no two razors are alike.
