THE ORIGINAL & Only GENUINE BOW RAZIR BY WADE & BUTCHER
This is a sweet looking vintage collectors razor.
The custom made scales are made of Bolivian rosewood, fully treated against water and humidity.
The blade is very shiny, clean with no rust, cracks or chips.
Just some remaining residual pits and stains but really not an issue or very noticeable.
Blade has been cleaned and polished.
The etching of the blade is very well preserved.
The blade measures 5/8 - square point with a stylized toe.
Total weight: 1.5 oz
Total cutting edge: 2.75 inches
Wedge/Spacer: Maple
On the front shank it has the famous bow.
Extremely nice example of a Wade & Butcher Original Bow razor..
Successor to Robert Wade; succeeded by Butcher, Brown & Butcher Sheffield - 1818-1890.
This razor dates from before 1890 since from 1890 the word 'England' had to be added to the inscription on the tang. I believe this one to be from around 1850-1890.
